Vita gazette – British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards have been announced. Paolo Sorrentino’s “Hand of God”, which he dedicates to his youth in Naples in the 1980s was nominated for the British Oscar BAFTA for best foreign film. “Dune” and “The Power of the Dog” took the lead with nominations. Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” received eleven nominations, followed by Jane Campion’s latest film “The Power of the Dog” with eight nominations. Kenneth Branagh’s growth story Belfast, based on his personal memories, won six nominations. The latest James Bond movie, No Time to Die, which is expected to be featured in the BAFTAs, remained in five nominations. Lady Gaga was nominated for a Gucci movie.

The 75th BAFTA Awards will find their owners in a ceremony to be held physically at the Royal Albert Hall on March 13, if the pandemic conditions allow. American comedian Rebel Wilson will host the ceremony.
