Eurovision Song Contest 2022: first semifinal
Vita gazette – The curtain has risen on the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest at the PalaOlimpico in Turin. The event is hosted this year by Italy thanks to the victory of the Maneskins in last year’s edition which took place in Rotterdam.
Early evening, seventeen in the competition, only ten pass the round for the semifinal on 12 May. In the first of the two semifinals (the second will be held on Thursday) the artists and bands representing Albania, Latvia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Slovenia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Holland, Moldova, Portugal, Croatia, Denmark, Austria, Iceland, clashed. Greece, Norway and Armenia. Meanwhile, Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom enter the final as the founding countries of Eurovision, and Italy also with the role of organizer of the event due to the Maneskin victory last year. Ten artists have passed the turn after the vote of the jury and the televoting of those who will follow from home.

The ten countries that qualified for the final on Saturday evening are Switzerland with Marius Bear, Armenia with Rosa Linn, Iceland with Systur, Lithuania with Monika Liu, Portugal with Maro, Norway with Subwoolfer, Greece with Amanda Georgia of Tenfjord, Ukraine with Kalush Orchestra, Moldova with Zdob şi Zdub & Frații Advahov and the Netherlands with S10.
