The opinion – by Andira Vitale
One survived!
It’s a story I love…
While a man was walking along the ocean beach, he stumbled upon a man hastily throwing something into the sea.
As he gets closer to the man, he realises that this person has thrown the beached starfish into the sea.
“Why are you throwing these starfish into the sea?” he asks.
The person who keeps throwing their collectables into the sea? He replies, “To live”.
This time, the man said, “Well, there are thousands of starfish here. There’s no way you can throw them all away. What will it matter if you throw them away?” says.
The person who picks up another starfish from the ground and throws it into the sea answers, “Look, a lot has changed for someone”.
None of us can change everyone’s lives, but we can at least make one person, just one, live a better life because we exist.
Every life matters. Every single existence has a value.
“What a shame bailouts for billionaires, with all the migrants dying!”
If the abyss has forever swallowed the five passengers of the Titan, it is impossible for those who share the same concept of humanity to feel anything but pity for them…
“What a shame bailouts for billionaires, with all the migrants dying!”
The distinctions in life, wherever they come from, leave me stunned…
Years of life stories, loved ones, hopes, dreams, love for life and feelings of those who await them… Aren’t they common values?
There can be no other rule, whether or not we know the faces of the shipwrecked, their stories…
Whether it’s a billionaire explorer or a poor immigrant…
It doesn’t suit a person who stands out with his mind among living things to classify values…
“Let’s save the billionaires. We save people with low incomes. And let’s save every living being.”
Let it be called “a star”!!!
