Black silk tulips in Rome

Vita gazette – The 15th edition of the International Festival of Social Cinematography TULIPANI DI SETA NERA, which takes place in Rome, is started. The festival opened with the film “The Mortal World” by Turkish director Ali Atay. Festival, between social themes and war, staged from 5 to 8 May at The Space Cinema Moderno in Rome.

Cinema, a fundamental tool for reconstructing the social fabric and our inner world, continues to “give people the opportunity to question themselves, get to know each other and deal with the images they see”, with events organized one after the other. One of these is the BLACK SILK TULIPS Short Film Festival held in Rome. During the festival, which takes place at The Space Cinema Moderno in Piazza Della Repubblica in the historic center of Rome, films focusing on war and social problems will be shown on the screen, while the public will make a cinematic journey with several interviews.

For 3 days, every day at 15:00, the heroes and authors of the works who have reached the finals in the different sections will be awarded. There will be open discussions with the participants. The White Death, whose number has increased recently, will be the star of the festival. The next will be the theme of “haters”. Introduced in collaboration with Rai Cinema and Rai per il Sociale, the Rai Cinema Channel Smile Award annually rewards work.

Created by the social promotion association “Università Cerca Lavoro”, based on an idea by Paola Tassone, the Festival promotes the work of authors from Italy and abroad who, through images, represents the story of diversity, fragility and ‘uniqueness of every person and place, enhancing their multiple aspects and expressing them through the art of cinema and television, which has always given voice to the struggles for ecology, rights and against marginalization, with thoughts, opinions and feelings. A Festival of ecological and social transition, whose main “mission” is to create a new solidarity society, a sensitive and integrated community that learns to support the weakest and respect the environment that surrounds it. Institutional and cultural partners of the event are the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the Lazio Region, Rai Cinema Channel and Rai per il Sociale, Rome Lazio Film Commission, ANAC, Order of Psychologists of Lazio, ANMIL, ASVIS, ENIT, ENS, INAIL and Universe Foundation.
