The 2025 edition of Tevere Day, a week-long festival of free events in celebration of Rome’s river Tiber, will take place from 6-12 October.

Il Tevere, con il Gange e il Nilo, è il fiume più importante al mondo. È la storia di Roma e della civiltà occidentale. È stato ed è la chiave del suo progresso. Una testimonianza della sua Grande Bellezza. È un simbolo, un’icona, un patrimonio di tutta l’umanità. Un luogo mitico, caratteristico e privilegiato, per vivere la storia, ammirare la città di Roma e il suo territorio. È un Patrimonio da salvare e curare.

The Tevere Day Association was founded in 2019 to enhance the role of the Tiber and help people to discover the beauty of Rome’s river.

Now in its seventh year, Tevere Day will comprise more than 140 events for all ages, embracing sport, music, culture and history, spanning the river Tiber from Nazzano to Fiumicino.

The Tevere Day programme includes live music, theatre, yoga and food and wine events as well as rowing, cycling, canoeing and other sporting pursuits.

This year’s edition follows the recent creation of five riverside parks and comes amid plans to make the Tevere swimmable – a topic that will be addressed in the series of talks in this year’s programme of events.

L’Associazione si è costituita nell’anno 2019 (giugno) per l’ideazione e l’organizzazione della prima edizione dell’evento Tevere Day, svoltosi il 27 ottobre del 2019, e si è ufficialmente registrata, nello studio del Notaio Salvatore Federico in Roma, il giorno 11 maggio 2020. Il Presidente dell’Associazione, come da Statuto, è Alberto Acciari.

La missione dell’Associazione è di riportare all’attenzione della popolazione romana, italiana, mondiale, la necessità che il Tevere, considerato dagli studiosi il fiume più importante al mondo, venga, dalle istituzioni preposte, tutelato, reso fruibile, sano e vivibile, in quanto patrimonio inestimabile in termini di cultura, storia, ingegneria, ambiente, sport, arte, compresa la creazione di un Museo del Tevere.
