“Cinema under the stars” in the gardens of the Villa Museum of Alberto Sordi
Vita gazette – The film festival dedicated to him and which the Fondazione Museo Alberto Sordi is organising on the twentieth anniversary of his death kicked off this evening, the day on which Alberto Sordi would have turned 103.
The retrospective, entitled “La Roma di Alberto Sordi”, will take place until 25 June and consists of 9 titles that will be screened for free in an open-air arena with 150 seats set up, for the first time, in the gardens inside the villa in Caracalla where the actor lived until the day of his disappearance.
All screenings will begin at 21, introduced from time to time by a critic or expert, including Steve Della Casa, Enrico Magrelli, Massimiliano Saccucci, and Gianfranco Bartalotta and a special gift will be reserved for the public who will participate in the review, the possibility of visiting the house museum and the private rooms of Alberto Sordi. Admission will be accessible upon reservation at segreteria@fondazionemuseoalbertosordi.org.
It starts with “The Marchese del Grillo”, introduced by Luca Verdone and the critic Enrico Magrelli, whose screening is preceded at 8.15 pm by the concert of the Banda della Guardia di Finanza directed by Maestro Dario Di Coste and in which Giorgio Gobbi will also take part, who in 1981 was among the interpreters of the film directed by Mario Monicelli.
The cycle also includes the following titles: “It Happened at the police station” (Friday 16 June), “Lo Bachelor” (Saturday 17 June), “Mamma mia what an Impression!” (Sunday 18 June), “A Hero of our times” (Wednesday 21 June), “In the year of the Lord” (Thursday 22 June), “The scientific Scopone” (Friday 23 June), “The miser” (Saturday, June 24) and “Stardust” (Sunday, June 25).
