Vita gazette – Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani’s 2024 spring-summer collection titled “Like a Breeze” carries the audience to the summer season and makes them experience the summer as a mood. Accompanied by the Armani breeze, everyone turns into light, free, happy birds… For spring-summer 2024, Armani celebrates light fabrics and precious embroideries between pastel colours and flashes of light.

On Wednesday, 20 September, Milan Fashion Week officially began with the first fashion shows, the great protagonists of a calendar full of events and presentations. Outside Giorgio Armani’s teatro on Via Tortona, a long queue waited patiently in the rain before his show. They were Milanese waiting to collect packets of seeds and soil distributed from an electric Emporio-branded Piaggio Ape. This was part of a sustainability-driven partnership named Forestami, with the Polytechnic of Milan and the mayor’s office, working to rewild the city.

And we travel back in time, from the cool, rainy weather outside to summer. The summer breeze walks on the podium with all its sensuality, lightness and beauty of nature. We join the atmosphere of natural colours, light dresses and intangible, free fabrics that make everybody experience that sensuality. We walk among floor-length skirts, jackets, vests, short dresses and breast-hugging bustiers. The skirts are long, layered in chiffon, and the dresses skim the floor in a rainbow of bright colours. The aesthetic is snappy and immediate, complemented by flat shoes, tiny hats, and decorative headscarves. Bags, however, are spacious enough to contain the essentials or minimalist for a sophisticated touch.

The critical elements of the collection are lightness and minimalism. The protagonists are light fabrics with particular luminescence, with embroidered and woven details.
