The earthquakes shook central Italy

Vita gazette – A series of earthquakes shook Central Italy. The most violent, with a magnitude of 5.7, was felt from Rome to Bolzano. In total, at least six shocks woke up the inhabitants of the Marche who took to the streets frightened.

The earth shook again in Central Italy: epicenter on the Pesaro coast, magnitude of 5.7. An earthquake was distinctly felt by the population in the Marche, Abruzzo, Lazio and Emilia Romagna and other Italian regions, this morning shortly after 7.

The magnitude was 5.7, the epicenter was located along the Pesaro coast at a depth of about 8 kilometers. The first checks on the buildings are underway, but there are currently no major collapses or injuries or victims. The main shock – at 7 and 7 – was followed at 7.15 by another of more minor aftershocks. The magnitude this time was 3.1.

The seismic event caused no little concern among the population, especially those residing in the Marche and neighboring Emilia Romagna. Hundreds of people reported being thrown out of bed, many rushed under tables and desks, still others spilled into the street and images of some furnishings that fell on the floors and shattered were published on social media.

The technicians have begun to carry out the inspections necessary to ascertain whether there has been damage to some buildings, to the oldest and most ancient ones. For the moment, however, no reports or requests for help have been received by the fire brigade.
