Andrea Bocelli will sing at King Charles III’s coronation concert
Vita gazette – Andrea Bocelli, who took the stage of the Platinum Jubilee with the personal choice of Queen Elizabeth, this time Tuscan, will sing at the coronation of King Charles III of England next May 7, where the artist will perform with the baritone Sir Bryn Terfelb.
Andrea Bocelli returns to sing for the British royals: in fact, after having performed at the Platinum Jubilee, personally desired by Queen Elizabeth II, the Tuscan singer was once again invited by the British Royals for one of the most awaited and followed appointments of the year in world level, the coronation of King Charles III of England.
Bocelli, alongside other big international names such as Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Take That, will perform live on Sunday, 7 May, on the stage of the Coronation Concert on the grounds of Windsor Castle, in front of 20,000 people, including the public and guests, and millions of connected viewers from all continents.
During the evening, the artists will be accompanied by world-class master musicians, including a 70-piece Orchestra and a house band made up of the Massed Bands of the Household Division and the Countess of Wessex’s String Orchestra. Alongside the concert stars, the show will also see an exclusive performance by The Coronation Choir: a voice ensemble created from the nation’s diverse choirs and amateur singers from across the UK (including the Seafarers’ Choir, Farmers, taxi drivers and reggae chants). The Coronation Choir will perform alongside The Virtual Choir, composed of singers from across the Commonwealth, for exceptional performance throughout the night. The concert, produced by BBC Studios Productions, will be broadcast live from Windsor Castle grounds on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
