Greetings from Amadeus and Fiorello: “Goodbye Sanremo”

To the tune of Dreams Are Desires, Amadeus and Fiorello enter a white carriage and say, “Goodby, Sanremo. Thanks for everything”.

Amadeus and Fiorello said goodbye to the Sanremo Festival. The conclusion of the 74th edition, with the victory of Angelina Mango, marks the end of the Amadeus era, which bids farewell after five editions at the Ariston. The artistic director and the showman, co-host on the final evening of Sanremo 2024, exit the stage at the end of the event, leaving the Ariston theatre hand in hand. Then, to the tune of Dreams Are Desires, they enter a white carriage and say hello: “Goodbye, Sanremo. Thanks for everything.”

“Stop the genocide”

This is the message with which Ghali bids farewell to Sanremo 2024 after the performance on the final evening. After proposing the song “Casa mia”, the singer closes his week in Sanremo by thanking for the welcome and hospitality. While the mother shows a sign dedicated to her son from the audience, the alien who accompanied Ghali to the Festival enters the scene. The singer chats with Rich Ciolino, the giant puppet who follows him everywhere. So, the message: “Stop the genocide” concerning the Gaza Strip, without an explicit quote, is also mentioned in the lyrics of the song: “But, how can you say that everything is normal here; To draw a boundary; A hospital was bombed with imaginary lines; For a piece of land or a piece of bread.”
