Giorgio Armani Privé Celebrates 20 Years with Spring 2025 Collection

At the spring-summer 2025 fashion show in Paris,  Giorgio Armani Privé travelled the continents, accompanied by lights, on a catwalk designed for Haute Couture and wrote a new Arabian Nights tale…

Giorgio Armani celebrated the 20th anniversary of his Couture brand Armani Privé with a collection that explores the themes of light and sparkle. The designer, who excels at every fashion show, has an exhibition titled “Lumières” (French for “light” and “enlightenment”), held at Palazzo Armani, a luxurious private mansion complete with gilded mouldings and marble staircases. Reflecting the understanding of light, colour, and movement towards global influences, the collection gives an impressive message of a bridge that brings together different cultures.

Armani displayed his mastery of details, pastel colours and noble sparkles in this fashion show, reflecting his deep taste. He did not forget the global bridge between the past and the present. Armani Bridge of Light, with one foot in the east, transcends ages and thoughts, reaches India, China, Japan, and the shores of Africa, and from there, passes to the West to Italy.  The sequel ends with Couture in Paris.  While Armani took his audience on period journeys on this bridge, he did not neglect to display the details of his past collections accompanied by light. For example, clothes between the side veil and the beaded cap, which refer to the years between the two great wars, have been added to today’s fashion. Beaded suits, silky cropped jackets, comfortable blazers, and crystal embroidered evening dresses under flowers and palm trees accompany this fairytale travel tour. Delicate headpieces add a sense of quiet elegance, while embroidery and embellishments highlight the intricate craftsmanship behind each piece. The designs focus on subtle elegance, avoiding excess while combining rich textures and thoughtful details.

As the tales of One Thousand and One Nights extend from East to West, the collection also reflects various textiles from China, special embroidery from India, and the delicacy and watercolour tones of Japan. Fabrics reflecting the lightness of bird feathers woven in unique colours, Armani’s favourite grey, pastel pinks, and gold flowing elegantly among blues, crystals embedded in the fabric, and the lights caught by the stones transport the audience to a fairy tale world.

Beyond couture, Armani Privé has extended its craftsmanship to haute joaillerie and fragrance. Their fine jewellery and perfumes reflect the same aesthetic principles, using carefully selected materials and refined compositions to create a vision of complete luxury.

Twenty years on, Armani Privé continues to represent a clear and precise vision of elegance. And it proves that elegance always matters.
