Vita gazette – In Rome, a major exhibition celebrates the life of Vincent van Gogh. On the eve of the 170th anniversary of his birth, from 8 October 2022 Palazzo Bonaparte hosts an exhibition that traces the artist’s production through 50 of his works. There is also the very famous “self-portrait” of 1887.
Dealing with psychological problems throughout his life, Van Gogh is one of the most important representatives of the post-impressionism movement. He created different and impressive works by blending the perspective and the current he represents. With each brushstroke, he revealed a fascinating side of himself.
Van Gogh’s works are quite interesting with both their gloomy and realistic aspects. The emotions that the painter reflects on his works can be clearly understood by a good observer. Dark, gloomy and later colorful pictures emerged. From this point of view, Van Gogh works are products where transitions between emotions are used well.
Van Gogh, who produced more than 2000 thousand works of art, used original and different techniques for each of his paintings and works.
