Elly Schlein’s program

“Social justice and climate are inseparable”: the incipit of Elly Schlein’s program supported today, the day of the Primary, entitled “Part with us Here’s what the main points are and what it’s about.

Social and civil rights, attention to climate change and the right to housing: are the cornerstones of his program “Part from us”.

Fight against fragility, attention to social and civil rights, public health, taxes and large estates, right to housing and revitalisation of public housing, overcoming of law 194 through guaranteeing a percentage of non-objecting doctors: these, among others, the cornerstones of his candidacy.

“Because those most affected by the ongoing climate emergency are the most fragile and impoverished by crises, both globally and in our country,” the program continues. And again: “Social rights and civil rights are inseparable; those who make hierarchies usually want to deny them both”.

Schlein also insists on the incompatibility between “party positions and public and administrative functions”. In essence, anyone who holds a role within the Democratic Party should abandon other positions, enhancing the aspect of party autonomy.

“The right has gone to the government; it is right and unfortunately wins the regional elections – Schlein said in the last confrontation with Bonaccini on Sky -. And I believe we have to do the left, which today can only be an ecologist and a feminist together. We need a Democratic Party that returns to the side of Italy, which today is struggling more, which has remained further behind and crushed in these decades of political choices that have increased inequalities and risk destroying the planet “.

“I appeal to the many militants who want redemption and to gather around a clear identity – continued Schlein – If you want to help us change it, come and vote on February 26 because if the Democratic Party changes, Italy will change too”.
