Seer Gisella Cardia is back!
Vita gazette – Trevignano Romano, the seer Gisella Cardia has returned for the message of the Madonna. Like every 3rd of the month, the woman claims she has seen the Mother of Jesus again and listened to her words.
The alleged seer Gisella Cardia has returned to see the Madonna. A Madonna who would show up punctually, like every 3rd of the month, also this 3rd of May, to leave her a message of doom: “Humanity is heading towards self-destruction”. And so the woman returns to Trevignano after the controversies and the alleged escape of the last few weeks.
The faithful await him anxiously at the appointment. And Gisella, after the controversy, immediately says: “We should have been a thousand, but after what happened, we are few. Yet we are also braver. My faith is fine with me. I have God on my side. I have the Madonna”. In Le Iene, Gisella, whose real name is Maria Giuseppina Scarpulla, defended herself from criticism the day before: “My soul is broken, but my faith is more robust, and I go forward. I cried; I even thought of saying enough to all this, of speaking to Our Lady: enough, don’t appear to me again, go somewhere else. But, unfortunately, they threw mud continuously, every day, on all television broadcasts, national and international: United States, Mexico, Brazil, California, and Poland.
And read the message that Madonna would have given!
But once again, in Trevignano Romano, Gisella claims to have seen the Madonna. And she reads the message he would have given her: “My children, I am a mother of mercy. Dear children, do not be afraid because I am always beside you. Children, pray under the cross of my Jesus so that I can open your hearts and feed you with the love of God. Children, pray that mercy covers the world, especially this humanity heading towards self-destruction. My children, God’s justice will have to make its way by now. Pray for children; pray a lot. The purification will be hard but necessary”. She adds her reflection on these words: “I think that war is close: it is at our doorstep. Instead, we are thinking about the problem of a person praying the rosary and bringing people closer to masses, at least as far as possible”.
Where is the money for the foundation?
But then there would also have been criticism from the visionary of the faithful, guilty, according to her, of having abandoned her a little. Moreover, the investigation into the alleged miracles and the rounds of money donated to the foundation has created many problems for Cardia, who vented: “In these two and a half months, I have been told everything”, she attacks. Then instead of answering where millions of euros are spent, she pulls the brakes: “My teacher, our teacher taught me to love even our enemies. And for this, I said and asked Our Lady for blessings for my detractors: for journalists, for those who are meddled in a world where God no longer exists”, she would have said in the throes of a mystical delirium. In short, the doubts about Cardia remain, and the investigations will continue. But some faithful remain in Trevignano, waiting for the next apparition.
The story began in 2016
The bizarre story began in 2016 when Scarpulla, known to her followers as Gisella Cardia, bought the statue at a Catholic pilgrimage site in Medjugorje, Bosnia. Upon returning to Italy, she claimed the Madonna wept tears of blood and was communicating messages to her.
The statue was placed in a glass case in a park overlooking Lake Bracciano. On the third day of each month, hundreds of pilgrims – many searching for a cure for serious illnesses – would go to pray and hear the latest divine messages received by Scarpulla. She says that the divinity speaks to her either through the Virgin Mary or through Jesus every month when the statue weeps tears of blood.
Scarpulla, who had been convicted of bankruptcy fraud, created a foundation through which she collected donations, which she reportedly said would go towards setting up a centre for sick children.
Amid growing media interest in the site – an area of land in the park reportedly bought with donations – and complaints from locals over the monthly influx of pilgrims, a local bishop, Marco Salvi, announced in March that the church would investigate the phenomenon surrounding the Madonna statue.
Suspicions over the claims continued an estimated 300 pilgrims from across Italy flocking there on 3 April for the monthly ceremony. Scarpulla claimed she had received another message from the Virgin Mary.
“Beloved children, this is the moment and time for choice,” she reportedly said. “I ask you as a grieving mother: choose God. Children, the threads of darkness are gripping you.”
Two days later, the private investigator, Andrea Cacciotti, told the Italian press he had filed a complaint to local police and prosecutors in the nearby port city of Civitavecchia because “too many people felt they’d been scammed”.
And the prosecutors had started an investigation after complaints from people allegedly scammed. After an investigation, the analysis revealed that the blood found on the face of the statue was that of a pig.
Scarpulla was reportedly seen packing up her car and leaving Trevignano Romano on Thursday. Some say she has gone abroad, to her native Sicily, or that perhaps she has sought refuge in a monastery. A message on her website says meetings with the faithful are “temporarily suspended”. Her lawyer, Anna Orlando, said she had gone on holiday. Gisella Cardia must appear before the judges on May 8, 2023.
And she’s back!
