Flying aides began to fly one after the other
XPengX2 was last spotted in Dubai
Vita gazette – Automotive projects designed in line with global sensitivity to climate change have begun to travel the world.
Another of the unimaginable flying car models in the past were successfully tested in Dubai. It is called XPeng X2, it has a minimalist and aerodynamic design and is very light because its structure is in carbon fiber. The passenger compartment can accommodate up to two passengers and is equipped with specific safety systems. The X2 is produced by Xpeng AeroHT, the largest flying car company in Asia, the majority of which is owned by XPeng Inc. of Guangzhou, known for electric cars on the road.
In line with the global sensitivity to climate change, the flying car is full electric and therefore does not produce carbon dioxide emissions. This model is suitable for low-altitude urban flights and short distances such as sightseeing and medical transport. It is an eVtol, an electric vehicle with vertical take-off and landing, suitable for movement in the city.
Flying cars unimaginable in the past have been successfully tested in Dubai. The XPeng X2, which will cost the same as a luxury car and can take tourists around cities at speeds of up to 80mph or 130km, could be the future of sightseeing. A flying car could take tourists around cities at speeds of up to 80 mph in just a few years, the XPeng company says. The fully electric XPeng X2 should be able to climb up to about 90 meters, the height of Big Ben.
For those worried about the maximum flight time of 35 minutes, it also has a parachute attached in case of an accident. Chinese company XPeng believes this vehicle will be perfect for short-distance city trips such as sightseeing and transporting medical supplies.
It should cost the same price as a luxury car like a Bentley or Rolls Royce and hit the market by 2025. The company said the goal is to be used by wealthy people as a means of daily transportation. However, it is said that the vehicle will not leave the city limits, as there are still some legal hurdles to overcome.
The X2 takes off and lands vertically, like a helicopter, using two propellers at the four corners of the vehicle where the wheels should be. The approximately 5-meter-long vehicle, with two raised doors on either side, weighs an average of half a ton and can carry two people, each weighing just under 100 kilograms.
With a maximum speed of 81 miles per hour, the vehicle can fly for up to 35 minutes and reach an altitude of 975 meters.
