Italy at ‘very high’ travel risk for Covid-19, US warns
Vita Gazette_ The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention added Italy, the favorite country of tourists, to its list of countries at high risk for the new coronavirus wave. Alongside Italy, the CDC has added the freezing cold Greenland and tropical East African island Mauritius to the highest risk category for travel, named number 4. All 3 countries have moved from Level 3 to Level 4.
As of December 13, the CDC’s list has more than 80 countries classified as level 4. Last week, the CDC placed France at level 4, along with six other countries. Typically, the CDC makes this category based on one hundred thousand people in the last 28 days. If the number of cases per 100 thousand people exceeds 500, it passes to Level 4.
