Italy destroys fake “Made in Italy” products!

The Italian Guardia di Finanza is carrying out a series of operations against counterfeit “made in Italy” products. This time, millions of products such as plates, cutlery, spoons, glasses and scales with the “made in Italy” brand, prepared for use on cruise ships and trains, were seized. All products produced in China, Pakistan and Turkey were branded as “Made in Italy” … So it was a lie…
The Italian financial police had conducted an operation in the northern region, including Venice, last month, and seized multi-million euro faux leather bags, branded “made in Italy” but made in China. This time the operation was carried out in the south-central of the country. The Million cutlery, scales, kitchen utensils, glasses, plates, cups, cups used in the passenger transport circuit – cruise ships and trains, all with the Made in Italy brand. All fake! They were seized by the Guardia di Finanza in a maxi anti-counterfeiting operation in Turin. In total over 6 million household items labelled “made in Italy” but entirely produced and subsequently imported from China, Pakistan and Turkey. Once placed on the market, they would have yielded a profit of around 10 million euros.
The operation – conducted by the “green berets” of the ready-to-use Group and coordinated by the prosecutor of the Piedmontese capital – began in recent months when household items advertised as products of Italian origin appeared on the shelves of various shops. tricolour, despite having been entirely made in Asia. the goods imported from the People’s Republic of China, Pakistan or Turkey arrived at customs in primary packaging with no indications attributable to a national origin while, inside, the typical symbols of Italianate abounded, designed to deceive the final customer. Seven entrepreneurs denounced, called to answer for the crimes of fraud in the trade and sale of industrial products with misleading signs. In total over 6 million household items labelled “made in Italy” Once placed on the market, they would have yielded a profit of around 10 million euros.
