Sanremo 2025: Olly wins with Balorda Nostalgia
Olly wins the 75th Sanremo Festival with Balorda nostalgia. The rest of the podium was a total surprise: second Lucio Corsi with Voglio essere un duro, third Brunori Sas with L’albero delle noci, Fourth Fedez with Battito, and fifth Simone Cristicchi with Quando sarai Piccola.
Sanremo 2025, Olly wins with Balorda Nostalgia. The singer won the Italian song festival after a final five that reserved many surprises. The other surprise is undoubtedly fifth place in Giorgia, the big favourite. Giorgia, sixth in the ranking, had to settle for the prize from the sponsor, Tim, for the most-voted artist on the dedicated app. Lucio Corsi received the “Mia Martini” critics’ Award, Brunori the “Sergio Bardotti” award for best lyrics, Cristicchi the “Giancarlo Bigazzi” award for best composition and the “Lucio Dalla” press room award.
Olly, pseudonym of Federico Olivieri, is an Italian singer-songwriter and rapper born in Genoa on May 5, 2001. From a young age, he was strongly inclined to music, enrolling at the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory to study singing and composition. Olly’s musical career began in 2016 with the formation of the Madmut Branco collective and the publication of the “Piacere Mixtape”. In 2017, he debuted as a soloist with the EP “Namaste”, created in collaboration with the rapper Matsby, from which the single “Chiara Ferragni” was extracted with Alfa.
Olly had already participated in the Sanremo Festival 2023 in the Big category after qualifying through Sanremo Giovani 2022 with the song L’anima balla. At Sanremo 2023, he competed with the song “Polvere”, which received good feedback from the public. However, it did not enter the top positions in the final ranking.
