The 71st edition of the Taormina Film Festival pays homage to international celebrities such as Monica Bellucci, Martin Scorsese, Catherine Deneuve and Michael Douglas.

The dream city for holidays in Sicily has become the stage for the stars of the annual “Taormina Film Festival”, which will be held from 10 to 14 June. From Monica Bellucci to Luisa Ranieri, from Martin Scorsese to Michael Douglas, from Catherine Deneuve to Helen Hunt, from Olivia Wilde to Da’Vine Joy Randolph, It will be a real parade of stars that will arrive at the Taormina Film Festival 2025, the kermesse – now in its 71st edition – that will take place from 10 to 14 June under the artistic direction of Tiziana Rocca and as godmother the actress Valeria Solarino.

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the poster for this edition is dedicated to one of the most iconic films of contemporary Italian cinema, Giuseppe Tornatore’s Malèna, starring Monica Bellucci.

An international jury

The jury of the Taormina Film Festival comprises leading figures in the international film scene. The president is Da’Vine Joy Randolph, an Oscar-winning actress. The costume designer Sandy Powell is a three-time Oscar winner. Steven Gaydos, vice president of Variety, is one of the most authoritative voices in the world of film journalism. Ilenia Pastorelli, an actress from Rome, and Alessandra Mastronardi, a talented actress, are also appreciated abroad. The jury will award four prizes: Best Film, Best Director, Best Male Actor and Best Female Actor.

On Tuesday, 10 June, Michael Douglas collected the Taormina Excellence Achievement Award. On the evening of Wednesday, the 11th, the iconic Catherine Deneuve will be awarded.
