The Lake Como Wine Festival kicks off today. Various events, such as courses, are held at the cellars located in the heart of the historic centre of Como. The gazebos are set up in Piazza Verdi. This magnificent organisation is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of good wine…Brunello all’Amarone; Barolo with Sagrantino; Passiti to Recioto; From Trentino whites to Garda roses; Charmat to Champenois; and much more to discover on a culinary journey through the historic centre of our magnificent city.
For its tenth edition, the Lake Como Wine Festival, lasting eight days, moves from Piazza Cavour to extend into Piazza Verdi. An excellent opportunity to taste the wines and typical products of more than 50 companies from all over Italy, directly in the heart of our splendid city. From Brunello to Aglianico; from Prosecco to Franciacorta; from the great cheeses of the Piedmontese valleys to the cheeses of the Larian mountains; from Bresaola to salami; from olive oil to balsamic vinegar; from honey to jams; from olive pâté to vegetable preserves; from Langa hazelnuts to Norcia truffles; from the chocolate of the Serenissima to the arancini of Sicily and much more. An explosion of flavours and aromas in a journey of tastings from all over Italy.
