2025 Writers Guild Awards
WGA Awards 2025, nominations for best screenplays announced. The big favourite for the best original script is Anora by Sean Baker, but among the candidates, there is also Challengers by Luca Guadagnino.
After SAG and DGA, the actors’ and directors’ union awards, respectively, screenwriters are also preparing to experience their awards night. The nominations for the WGA 2025, the Writers Guild of America Awards, which will be held on Saturday, 15 February 2025, have been announced. As for cinema, the big favorite is Anora by Sean Baker, present in the Original Screenplay category and Challengers by Luca Guadagnino, whose screenplay was written by Justin Kuritzkes.
Among the nominees for the Adapted Screenplay category, A Complete Unknown, written by James Mangold and Jay Cocks, based on the book Bob Dylan Goes Electric!, stands out. by Elijah Wald and Dune – Part 2, a sci-fi blockbuster signed by Denis Villeneuve and Jon Spaihts.
