17 million euros now

The Government approves the Ischia decree: 10 million and a stop to taxes and tax bills. So far, 12 million have arrived from the government for the emergency in Ischia, for a total of 17 million with the resources of the Region and the Metropolitan City.

The number of euros allocated by the Meloni government for the Ischia emergency rises to 12 million, to which are added another 4 million from the Campania Region and one million from the Metropolitan City of Naples, for a total of 17 million euros now. The go-ahead for the increase in funds, with a new allocation of 10 million after the 2 million already approved on Sunday, came from the meeting of the Council of Ministers which unanimously approved the Ischia Decree on new aid to Casamicciola and Lacco Ameno.

Taxes and tax bills suspended until June

The funds will go to finance interventions by the Civil Protection after the landslide and the river of mud that devastated Casamicciola Terme on Saturday 26 November. Also stop the payment of taxes, tax bills, contributions, and deadlines for compliance until June 2023. The suspended payments will be made, without penalties and interest, in a single solution by 16 September 2023, or up to sixty monthly installments starting from that date.
