Christmas Concert in the Senate
Vita gazette – Rome, 18 December 2022 the Christmas concert in the Senate. The Haydn orchestra of Trento and Bolzano performed at Palazzo Madama, conducted by Maestro Beatrice Venezi. Mogol rings the bell in the Senate and starts the Christmas concert. As is tradition, all proceeds from tickets will be donated to charity.
The XXV edition of the Christmas Concert is starting in the Hall of Palazzo Madama. The Christmas concert in the Senate, present Giorgia Meloni. Mogol is invited by the President of the Senate La Russa to ring the bell to kick off the Christmas concert in the Senate. The Haydn Orchestra of Trento and Bolzano, conducted by Maestro Beatrice Venezi, will perform music by Giuseppe Verdi, Giuseppe Martucci, Giacomo Puccini, and Pietro Mascagni. As is tradition, all proceeds from tickets will be donated to charity
After the national anthem and the European anthem, the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa took the floor for a brief greeting, in the presence of the premier, Giorgia Meloni.
“Thanks for being here, especially to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He is not with us but I greet him first Sergio Matterella to whom goes our greetings, our affection, our pride in having him as President of the Republic. It is a tribute to families and we extend it to all those who suffer, from Iran to Ukraine, may it be a Holy Christmas, which brings peace and harmony”. This was stated by the president of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa before the traditional concert in the Senate Hall, in the presence of the premier, Giorgia Meloni.
