The beaches with the bluest waters in the world
Vita gazette – Pasqyra in Albania was found to have the bluest waters in the world. Thanks to seven locations in the top 30, Greece is in a good position. There is also an Italian one on the list.
What beaches have the most crystal clear and blue waters in the world?
The CV Villas holiday rental agency compiled the ranking with satellite images, which revealed a surprising discovery: the beach of Pasqyra (also known as the beach of mirrors) in Albania, on the Ionian Sea, is said to have the bluest waters in the world. This recognition results from a meticulous study comparing satellite images of 200 global beaches using digital colour codes.
Among the 30 beaches identified as the most similar to the shade of blue, 26 are located in Europe, with Greece in pole position thanks to seven locations included in the top 30. Paralia Mpouka in the Peloponnese and Kassiopi in Corfu stand out, classified in second and third place, respectively.
France, Portugal, and Turkey also made the top 10, while the United States can boast a single presence with Cannon Beach in Oregon, positioned in 15th place. Other non-European destinations included in the list are Bora Bora’s Matira Beach and Playa El Doradillo in Argentina.
Italy: The Marina del Cantone beach
Only one beach in the ranking, which, to be precise, occupies position number 14. It is Marina del Cantone in Nerano, a hamlet of Massa Lubrense in the province of Naples. This splendid beach overlooks the Gulf of Salerno even though it administratively belongs to the Sorrento Coast.
The beauty of these beaches lies not only in the colour of their waters but also in the surrounding landscapes, local culture and the unique experiences they offer visitors.
Here, these are the 30 beaches with the bluest waters.
