The Meloni government is born

The Government of Giorgia Meloni will swear by tomorrow 22 October 2022 at 10 am. This is the list of ministers read by the Prime Minister in pectore. Matteo Salvini and Antonio Tajani will be deputies and respectively Minister of Infrastructure and Head of Foreign Affairs, Carlo Nordio will lead Justice, Giancarlo Giorgietti the Ministry of Economy, Matteo Piantedosi will be at the Viminale, Guido Crosetto will be in Defense.
With the first government led by a woman, some terms in the denominations of the various ministers “debut” for the first time. The traditional Mise will also be the ministry of “businesses and made in Italy” The ministry of agricultural policies will also be called “food sovereignty” and that of education will also be “of merit” The Ministry of Ecological Transition and Environment will also be responsible for “energy security” The ministry of European Affairs will also be called the “territorial cohesion policies and the NRRR”, so the southern ministry will also be called the Sea and finally that of the Family and Equal Opportunities will also be called the “birth rate”.
And the traditional handover ceremony between the outgoing president, Mario Draghi, and the president of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, will take place on Sunday 23 October, at 10.30 at Palazzo Chigi. FOREIGN AFFAIRS: Antonio Tajani who will also be deputy premier
National coordinator of Forza Italia and vice-president of the EPP, he will take the place of Luigi Di Maio at the foreign ministry. Elected to the Chamber on 25 September, he was a European parliamentarian and European commissioner for transport.
INTERNAL: Matteo Piantedosi

ECONOMY: Giancarlo Giorgetti
Giorgetti, senator of the League, was Minister of Economic Development during the Draghi government and during the Conte I government, he held the role of secretary of the Council of Ministers. He began his political career as the mayor of Cazzago Brabbia.
COMPANIES AND MADE IN ITALY: Adolfo Urso
Adolfo Urso, deputy of the Fratelli d’Italia has already held the role of Deputy Minister of Productive Activities during the Berlusconi II and III government and then was Deputy Minister of Economic Development during the Berlusconi IV government.
AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SOVEREIGNTY Francesco Lollobrigida
Francesco Lollobrigida, deputy of the Fratelli d’Italia, in which he holds a primary role in the leadership of the party. He was Councilor for Mobility and Transport of the Lazio Region during the administration of Renata Polverini.
ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY SAFETY: Gilberto Pichetto Fratin
Pichetto Fratin, senator of Forza Italia, was Deputy Minister of Economic Development during the Draghi government. In the past, he also held the role of Vice President of the Piedmont Region.
SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE AND MOBILITY: Matteo Salvini who will also be deputy premier
Salvini, secretary of the League, assumes the ministerial post in the Meloni government. CULTURE: Gennaro Sangiugliano
Gennaro Sangiuliano, a non-political minister, is currently the director of Tg2. Professional journalist, he was also deputy editor of the Libero newspaper. From a very young age, he was part of the Youth Front.
HEALTH: Orazio Schillaci

Luca Ciriani, deputy of the Fratelli d’Italia succeeds Federico d’Incà. He was vice president of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region and is the brother of the current mayor of Pordenone Alessandro Ciriani.
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION: Paolo Zangrillo
Paolo Zangrillo, deputy of Forza Italia, is a company manager with proven experience, who has decided to enter politics in 2018. He is the brother of Alberto Zangrillo, a doctor and head physician of the San Raffaele hospital in Milan.

Roberto Calderoli, senator of the League, was vice president of the Senate for two consecutive terms. During the Berlusconi IV government, he held the position of minister for regulatory simplification and during Berlusconi III he was minister for institutional reforms and devolution.
SPORT AND YOUTH: Andrea Abodi
Andrea Abodi, a non-political minister, is a sports manager, who in the past was a director of CONI Servizi spa. He was also president of the Serie B National Professional League and FIGC federal councillor.

Maria Roccella, deputy of the Fratelli d’Italia, is a journalist and has held the role of undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Berlusconi IV government.
DISABILITY: Alessandra Locatelli
Alessandra Locatelli, a member of the League, was minister for the family and for disabilities during the Conte I government. Up to now, she has held the role of councillor for the Family, Social Solidarity, Disability and Equal Opportunities of the Lombardy Region.
REFORMS: Elisabetta Casellati
Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, senator of Forza Italia, was president of the Senate of the last legislature under the Conte I, Conte II and Draghi governments. She was a member of the CSM and undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice during the Berlusconi IV government.
EUROPEAN AFFAIRS, TERRITORIAL COHESION AND PNRR: Raffaele Fitto
Raffaele Fitto, the exponent of the Fratelli d’Italia and co-president of the group of European Conservatives and Reformists, was Minister for the Regions and Territorial Cohesion and Minister for Relations with the Regions during the Berlusconi IV government, as well as an MEP.
