Seven foods that refresh the body
Vita gazette – We must constantly refresh our bodies and strengthen our immune systems to live healthily.
For our body to function healthily, we must clean and nourish it correctly. Here are seven foods that help cleanse our body.
Ginger
Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that help remove toxins from the respiratory system. It contains many vitamins and minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, beta-carotene and zinc. Some ginger extracts are also known to kill lung cancer cells. As an herb, you can add ginger to many dishes or consume it as ginger tea.
Turmeric
Turmeric, known as the ‘Golden Spice’, helps cleanse our lungs thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties.
Artichoke
If you overindulge in fatty foods and alcohol, adding steamed artichoke leaves to your meals is a great way to replenish your body. Globe artichokes are full of antioxidants and fibre and may help the body digest fatty foods. World artichoke is known for its ability to stimulate and improve the functions of the liver, the body’s primary toxin-fighting tool.
Beetroot
Beets are fast food that improves health. Filled with magnesium, iron, and vitamin C, the vegetable is also described as a superfood due to its many reported health benefits. Beets are great for skin, hair, and cholesterol levels and help support liver detoxification, making them the ultimate detox food. Add raw beets to salads or sip some beet juice to reap their benefits.
Cabbage
Cabbage is good for weight loss and an excellent detoxifying food. Like most cruciferous vegetables (including broccoli and sprouts), kale contains sulforaphane, which helps the body fight against toxins. Cabbage also provides glutathione, an antioxidant that helps improve the liver’s detox function.
Fresh fruits
Fresh berries are high in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre and low in calories, making them an essential part of a detox diet. If you want brighter eyes, skin and shiny hair, you should consume various fruits. You can start the day with a fresh fruit salad and snack on fruit pieces.
Brown rice
Try supplementing your diet with healthier whole grains like brown rice. Brown rice contains many critical detoxifying nutrients, including B vitamins, magnesium, manganese, and phosphorus. It is also high in fibre, good for cleansing the colon, and selenium, which can help protect the liver and improve skin.
